The fund raising committee was set up to raise funds with various projects that would assist the congregation in meeting its obligations. Over the years that included various events, including dinners marking different milestones in the shuls history.

The largest and most successful project took place last year with the writing of a sefer torah in honour of our beloved Rav, Rabbi Marcus, zt”l.Not only do we have a beautiful Sefer Torah that is used each week, but it was a project that raised over $300,000 .

As we move forward a number of ideas are being discussed for the coming year, and these will be discussed with the Board in the coming weeks. Naturally we would pleased to have the input of the membership. Creative ideas are most welcome and anyone interested in working on the committee should contact the President or Chairman.

The members of the committee that worked on the Torah project were, David Brothman, Tom Deutsch, Dr Eugene Jurkowitz, Frank Mayer, Josh Rosen, Steve Roth, Arthur Tanenbaum, the past President Dr. Howard Langer and current President Paul Forman.
